That’s more like it.

**bank rant** (Skip down if you don’t care ;D )

I applied online to open a Roth IRA account at my bank a month (or so) ago. After
submitting the application, I got a confirmation e-mail saying that someone from the bank would contact me within a specified amount of time to confirm and sort out the details. Someone did contact me within that time, but things got a little complicated.

We weren’t home when she called, so she left a message with her name phone number and business hours, as you would expect. I called her once and left a message. The machine said to leave a name and phone number, and that she would call me back ASAP. Two days later when she had not called, I called again. This time she answered, but was already busy helping another client. She still had 45 min. left on her office hours, and said that she would call me back in a few minutes. She didn’t.

I tried calling her once more, but after getting her answering machine and leaving a message that she failed to return *again* I just gave up dealing with her. I don’t mind leaving messages and I understand busy, but things were getting to be a little absurd. On top of all that, I was working two jobs for the next week and planning to leave town soon after that.

*Assumes pose of snooty nose-in-the-air impatient self-centered customer*

Today when I went in to my local branch to notify them of my travel plans, I also asked about the IRA. The person we needed to talk to had just stepped out, but we spoke to a very nice and helpful employee who answered our questions and told us when to come back.

Setting up the IRA made a bank job look easy. (Maybe I’m on the wrong career path? ;D ) The man who helped me was very knowledgeable, and spoke in terms that normal human beings could understand.
Very nice.

I bought a hat today. This is a bit unusual for me, but it is soft, comfortable, blue, and corduroy. It doesn’t get much better.

Actually, I lied it does. The best picture I managed to take was this:

I obtained a belt, because I look really stupid with my pants hanging off.

I also ordered sock needles for traveling.

Knitpicks sock needles, sizes 0-3. Including half sizes.

Finally, here are my “meds”.

Hopefully I won’t need the Cipro. Really. And I really really suck at swallowing pills.

‘Nuff said.

Looks like a fun? bunch of pills to swallow. Just don’t swallow the dime.
To quote Harry*, “When are you leaving, again?”

*Usually said just as I would arrive home from college. Not maliciously, just b/c he needed to know how many groceries to buy.

Grok grok! Yeah, Pooh, ask Harry about the egg consumption on Chickadee Lane. Grok grok. 😈
