The other day, I was cooking and needed a dish in which to serve rice. I went into the cupboard about the stove, and pulled out three nesting dishes. I was removing the middle size, when underneath I found the following sight.
Enough said. How did it get there? Oh, I’m sure that Moom has some idea…
I am so glad that I grew up in a house full of fiber, with people who understand the hopelessness of helpless stashing. Stashing is one of the most important parts of any kind of art!! If you can’t go and see what materials are out there, and play with them, and stash some of them for inspiration, chances are you won’t continue. It *is* a bit expensive…
But I’ll take the hit. It’s not like I have a family to feed, or something. *Lalala, I can’t heeear you telling me that I’ll wish I saved it later on, when I can’t pay my bills…*
And while I can’t hear you, I promised sweater photos, but there are still a few things that I want to tweak. I need to give it a good soak, re-block, and add a little bit to the buttonband. Photos later.
I do, however, have progress shots of Moom’s shawl.
I am approximately 12.5% done. I am having a lot of fun with this one. It is very simple; it is a repeating diamond pattern that I created. It’s a littl hard to see in the picture, but each diamond has one smaller one inside, and then a single yarn over at the center. Once I
stop being lazy have a little more done, I’ll take a better detail shot.
Also, I have been working on this sock:
Yeah…a whole sock. Okay, so it’s been a while since I posted. Other than the sleeping and working, you haven’t missed much of my life.
Oh!! A cookie!
