Thursday, already?

There are many reasons for why I love the bbc news. This is one of them.

My sister is flying into Michigan today, and we’re spending the week in the Great White North. I’ve been instructed to pack books, although my collection is rather eclectic. I have packed:

Animal, Vegetable, Miracle

Harry Potter #3 (in Spanish)

When a Crocodile Eats the Sun

Anna Karenina

The Golden Spruce

The Mother Tongue

The Color of Water

Saving Fish from Drowning

In a Sunburned Country

Stiff: The Curious Lives of Human Cadavers

It’s going to be an interesting weekend book-wise. Hopefully she’s bringing something interesting from her stash as well.

I just discovered which is proving to be an excellent time suck. It’s interesting trying to remember what I’ve read and when, especially when listing kids books! Was I five, six, seven? Can I remember a connection from school? Travel? I know I was reading the Anne of Green Gables books around the same time that I got the scar on my knee, but how old was I? Hmm.
