I know that I’ve been falling out of my (semi) regular posting schedule lately. The end of the quarter is always pretty busy, and I start getting lazy about processing pictures. Most of what I’ve been doing relates to class, but I’ve realized that a bunch of projects have slipped under the radar in the last week or so. So, this is what’s going on.

Finished Moom socks from last weekend. Emily is upset at me for not taking a picture of her examining the socks before giving them to Moom. She is not speaking to me, although I allowed her to join all of my progress photos for the day. That helped a bit. Poor little Yarn Duck.

I am listening to Cat Power. Things are good. I have coffee from the Water Street Cafe (but no cream). I have only one week/seventeen required meetings left before finals. I refuse to count rehearsals in that number because it’s too depressing. Of course, I also don’t know how many rehearsals I’ll be called to yet, so counting them is a bit impossible.

These are the new Moom socks. Sorry for the blurry picture. I am using the Falling Leaves pattern from Knitty. (I am too lazy to link, but if you google “falling leaves” and “knitty” you’ll find it.)

In the next week I’ll be writing an eight page paper and working on a 30 min. group presentation, and hopefully finding some time to knit a little. The paper is for my women’s studies class, and I have to say I’m a little worried about it. There are so many different pieces to include, and they are all so different that it is hard to convey everything that needs to be said in an eloquent manner. We’ll have to see about that one.

Look! Minimal sweater progress!!

The snow today has been very very pretty. I just walked around campus for an hour or so, as this will probably be one of the last cold and snowy nights. Very nice.

Also, last weekend The Sneak/Moom brought me flowers for the show. Apparently I wear green a lot. Aren’t they pretty?? They are sitting in my Beehouse tea pot. I think it is quite fitting. Green, flowers, tea, knitting… Okay I’m not even sure what I’m talking about anymore. Did I mention that I’m tired and scattered?

Finally, I have been making very large Malabrigo socks. The second one is now past the heel, but I was too lazy to take a second picture. The finished one comes up to my knee, and I still have yarn left from the skein. Not a lot, but I have to say that I’m pretty impressed with how far I got on a 200 yard skein.

And a close-up. Yes. Right. I hope everyone has a good weekend!!
